Mourinho has disclosed his desire to stick with former Chelsea player,Juan Mata.
In an interview with Sky Sports,
Mourinho has dismissed rumours that he will force Juan Mata to leave
during the transfer window. The Spanish playmaker has been linked with a
departure since the manager’s appointment, but there is still a place
for Mata in the squad, with Mourinho saying ‘I think he is happy and I
am not expecting him to ask to leave. I am expecting him to do what he
is doing now, which is to fight for a place.’ Mourinho went on to deny
that he pressured the 28-year-old to leave Chelsea two years ago,
claiming that it was solely Mata’s choice.
